“Why Start? You’re not going to finish.” Those two simple questions were all the inspiration I needed to do whatever it took to get a college degree.
After graduating from high school at 17 years old, I worked a plethora of jobs to earn some cash. I did everything from McDonald’s grill girl to sexing chicks. Chickens, that is. Yes, that’s an actual thing. And I did it.
When I was 18 I ended up working at a factory full-time. My life was rudderless until one day I was questioned about my future by one of the engineers that worked there. A short conversation sparked a curiosity and belief that I was actually smart enough to go to college!
I worked and saved and worked and saved until I had enough to pay for two community college classes with cash! Then, I was asked by a friend’s mom, “Why Start? You’re not going to finish.” Yeah, this is an episode you don’t want to miss.
Oh, and Mr. MMM has a pretty good story too!
